Wildkrats Team Visits Green Hills

Visitors to the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch are welcome to extend their stay for some on-site hummingbird watching!

 

January 2012: Martin Kratt and Chriss Kratt from the PBS series "Wildkratts" (http://www.pbskidsgo.org) visit Green Hills. The principal purpose was to film hummingbirds for one of their 2012 episodes.

Martin and Chris did not come for the Butterflies, no, Green Hills is also becoming known for the hummingbirds. Two feeders positioned near the visitors centre, attract a large number of hummingbirds. Untill now we have observed 13 different Hummingbird species (although not all do visit the feeders) and the species below are the most commonly observed:
