Wildkrats Team Visits Green Hills
Visitors to the Green Hills Butterfly Ranch are welcome to extend their stay for some on-site hummingbird watching!
January 2012: Martin Kratt and Chriss Kratt from the PBS series "Wildkratts" (http://www.pbskidsgo.org) visit Green Hills. The principal purpose was to film hummingbirds for one of their 2012 episodes. |
Martin and Chris did not come for the Butterflies, no, Green Hills is also becoming known for the hummingbirds. Two feeders positioned near the visitors centre, attract a large number of hummingbirds. Untill now we have observed 13 different Hummingbird species (although not all do visit the feeders) and the species below are the most commonly observed: |
